Epic the Musical

Ah, Epic... My first ever musical. I knew it by a Percy Jackson edit with Warrior of the Mind, and loved it since. Even though I watched the animatic like 2 times, I listened to the soundtrack enough to have memorized at least a song per saga (and more than one for most of them) and know most things by heart. My favorite one is Legendary and my favorite character is, well, Telemachus.

I am obsessed by the way the songs echo themselves (I think this is something every musical does? But i still prefer the way Epic does it), on obvious parts (like Warrior of the Mind's melody in God Games) and on more subtle parts (like Luck Runs Out in Mutiny, specifically "please don't tell me you're about to do what I think you'll do" and ahead). This musical is a true work of art. Like, ik there are more artistic and genius ways to do this (like Phillip living for exact 19 and a bit songs in Hamilton) but yeah, I love Epic.

Also it stroke me right on the middle of my Percy Jackson era, so i will always remember it with love and care.

Hamilton

The funny thing about Hamilton is that i had spent months with it appearing randomly on pinterest (specially after I found about Epic) and me refusing to watch it, then we were learning about the american revolution on history and while I was researching I found Hamilton (which was exactly the moment i realized that Hamilton was a real person, bc i thought he was just a character) on a Wiki page, and then I thought "why not" and watched Hamilton instead of studying.

I also really love it (i watched the animatic, btw, not a filming) but not in the way i love Epic. Bc from Epic I know at least 20 songs, and from Hamilton I know like 5?(Non Stop, It's Quiet Uptown, part of Guns and Ships, the Schuyler Sisters, Satisfied and Aaron Burr, Sir are the ones I can remember right now). My favorite one is Non Stop, and my favorite character is Angelica Schuyler.

I think my favorite thing about it are the counting sequences. Like, 1-9 on The Ten Duel Commandments and 1-9 (in french) on Take a Break. I love to hold one woman plays with the soundtrack blasting through my earphones while I'm cleaning.

SIX

I found SIX bc I wanted to watch a musical and I didn't had much time and SIX was only 1 hour and so, so... Yeah, I watched it. And never regretted it.

I love aaall the queens, but actually always skip Jane Seymour's song (sorry, but I really found it boring). I know i think most of the musics by heart? I wanted to do more research about the queens, and then lost the actual interest on doing historical figures' research. My favorite song is Get Down, and I really love the way the queens are color-coded, it just gives peace to my heart lol
